Access
1. Arrival, parking and ticket purchase
For the convenience of our visitors, ticket sales and parking are centralised at the large-capacity bus and car park located near the Kontumaci Chapel.
Here, a modern Information Centre awaits you, where:
- You can purchase admission tickets to the castle.
- You can use the large-capacity toilet facilities.
- You can park safely (cars, minibuses or coaches).
2. Access to the castle
After purchasing your ticket, you can reach the castle via the path leading under the bridge, next to railway guardhouse No. 30. The route is signposted throughout. You can enter the site with your ticket through the turnstile at the guardhouse.
3. Ascent and traffic regulations (One-way route)
Due to the castle’s unique location, traffic is one-way to avoid congestion on the steep sections:
- Ascent: From the guardhouse, a steep flight of steps comprising more than a hundred steps leads directly up to the castle.
- Exit: For safety reasons, visitors should leave the castle via the rear exit. From there, a gentler, more comfortable route leads back to the starting point.
We ask our visitors, for their own safety, to follow the designated route and use the path leading down to the rear exit!
